pumpkins.

As I said before, I love pumpkins. I have been craving a pumpkin pie or some other delicious pumpkin treat ever since fall began. Well today I decided to stop for a pumpkin muffin from D&D and it was AMAZING. I just thought I would share. And now I love pumpkins even more.

details.

I just keep thinking back to this time last year and remembering all of the thought and planning that went into each detail at our wedding. Now, with each wedding that I go to, I pay special attention to each small detail because I know how much thought went into them. Some of the pictures below are a few of our MANY "details" =)

miss B.

Bailey. I waited 14 years of my life to have a sister and she couldn't have made the wait any more worthwhile. Bailey is my best friend and she never judges me. She always strives to make everyone around her happy and has the biggest smile I have ever seen. She makes friends with anyone and has the wildest imagination. She is an author, a football player, a teacher, a golfer, and even a pirate (for Halloween this year haha). But most of all, she is my sister. From the day Miss B was born, my life has changed and I am a better person for knowing her. I can only hope that I can teach her half as much as she's taught me.

weddings.

Tom and I went to his cousin's wedding this weekend (Tom was actually in the wedding). It was beautiful and perfect and it was also the first wedding we have attended since our own. It was funny...sort of a sense of relief that we never have to worry about all that planning ever again. However, it is true that being at a wedding, especially the actual ceremony gives your own marriage a renewed sense. We had so much fun and cannot believe that it is almost our one year anniversary!

why not?

So I was inspired to start a blog thanks to my dear friend Danielle, who I have known literally my entire life. I figured this would be a good way to document the new life Tom and I have together and all that we will encounter. We have been married for less than a year, so I'm pretty sure we're still "newlyweds". Tom and I met 9 years ago and at the age of 15, I don't think I could have ever imagined that we would be where we are today. After spending our college years apart we both realized that what we shared had never gone away. We got engaged two years ago this month on a trip down to Myrtle Beach to visit my parents. Yes, he asked me to marry him written out on pumpkins throughout the house; I never thought a ghourd would hold such a special place in my heart.

We got married one year later and it has been a whirlwhind. We bought a house and have 2 dogs and a cat - it's a regular animal farm. Right now our pets are our babies and considering they are all under the age of 2, we have our hands full.

My parents moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and I miss them everyday. It is especially hard to not be around my brother and sister everyday, but it makes the time we do spend together that much more special.

I could go on forever but I think this is a good start!
